Lab 4: Cryopreservation of cells
Lab 4: Cryopreservation of cells
Photo of me carefully taking the cells out of the cryo storage container to not get any liquid nitrogen on myself
Completed flask containing 0.5mL of cells and 10mL of MEM
The confluency of the flask after 1 week was estimated to be at 70%
Flask containing the cryopreserved cells
The photo was taken two days after the cells were brought out of the cryo preservation container.
In conclusion, the experiment provided valuable insight in cell preparation for cryopreservation and on the process of cryopreservation itself. The experiment was successful, reinforcing the already known findings in cryopreservation's importance. The cells used for this procedure can be split and used in future experiments.
